【convoy】SFT70 3000K CRI95 available

I still use a bunch of 8*7135 drivers, the older linear drivers. They are only 2.8A, and the 0.1% level is quite nice with a 219b or SST-20. Probably not truly sub-lumen but good enough as ‘moonlight’.

Yeah, It gets got quickly on turbo, but hey, it’s bright! But I consider max 1.5A to be too low— T2/T3/T5 are quite bulky for AA lights, they can dissipate more heat. I think, the max 50% mode group (2.5A) is the most practical one for these lights.

5amps version of 17mm buck driver says temperature control but 8amps doesn’t mention that, is this real or typo?

In oxidation.

Ok, I will try.

This is a strange idea.

The same applies for XHP50.3Hi and SFT70 in M21H - they need a 5050 gasket.
I warmly recommend adding them as options for the M21H.
With the 3 degree TIR and gasket, they produce 60kcd and 90kcd, each.

I found out that the issue with the bright blink when switching to low mode is only present when the battery is at 3.9V or higher, i only have one T3 with the new driver so i don’t know if this is the same across all other drivers but at this moment with the battery at 3.8V the blink is not present or not visible to naked eye.

Not too strange, OP is a good mix between flood and throw it also remove the hotspot and make the surrounding a little bit brighter.

OP does not actually make the flood any better–flood is produced by the light that exits the emitter directly without ever hitting the reflector. All it does is smooth out the hotspot at the expense of throw. IMO OP reflectors are only useful for fixing beam artifacts (which the SFT40 has essentially none), otherwise an SMO reflector is almost always preferable.

How is the sft in this with 3° lens?

I dont know for the l21b but i have a d1k and sometimes i switch the smooth reflector with OP and it does make a difference. I can say the same for my L6.

light spot is good.
Gasket increases the height of the TIR lens.
I will try to find ways to make adjustments.

Thought I saw the B35AM as an available option for the S6 a while back. It’s been removed now. Will this be coming back?

Also any updates on the cute pink T3?

Did a few emitter swaps the past couple of days. All 519a DD’s. 5000k, (not sure on the middle, probably 3500k?, and 2700k for the bottom.

The AR glass in the Tool AA really changes the tint on that light. Almost removing the effects of dedoming.

You can remove the AR coating.
I removed the AR coating in one of my S2+ that had a purple coating and it made a big difference.

Thanks! And I just realized I posted this in the wrong thread. LOL! I thought it was the “What did you mod?” post. Oops!!!

After adding the gasket, it is great! Measured 110,000cd.

(I have since swapped the TIR for a Jarmay 3503/optic that gives 115,000cd and a bigger hotspot. However, you have to run it without glass and it will still not screw in completely and there are some artifacts.)

I would buy that right away!

Oh, you are right, it’s the same for me
