This can be “fixed” by replacing the driver with a 22mm 8A buck. You will lose the side switch and USB charging but it will fit and the light can be controlled by the tail switch.
This actually gave me an idea. I might order a M21H host and a 22mm driver just to try it since I have a SFT40 lying around doing nothing. I will try to fit the 3 degree clear optic on and find a way to center and focus it. Should be a fun project. Hmmm Convoy Lego.
It’s an ugly hack though. The proper way is to design a tail switched TIR light.
On the other hand there is M21B. With some modifications you can fit the M21H TIR optic into the M21B so you have a tail switched TIR light this way too.
I have thought about doing so. But I already have an SFT40 M21H with 3degree optic and a SFT40 M21B.
But like you said, fitting a regular 22mm driver would be messy with the USB port and button. I am hoping for a proper tailswitch M21H with the regular 22mm drivers.
BTW, the M21H optic does not fit the M21B. It does somewhat fit in a Wurkkos TS23 though.
Simon’s prices are already the lowest he can go. He said it a few months back. He already strives for the lowest price possible so we can all enjoy his work. Also his customer service is top notch. If anything goes wrong with your order he will send another for free, so no need for discounts.
The site works for me, but I use Malwarebytes for my antivirus, and I have “Web protection” turned off.
If you have antivirus software, maybe disable it and see if Simon’s site works?
You can run “ping convoylight.com” command in the console and see to what IP address that domain is being resolved.
It should be 104.19.164.107 (or 64:ff9b::6813:a46b if IPv6 is used)
If it’s not then probably you are (your PC) getting the wrong address. Try setting the Google DNS server (8.8.8.8) and then visiting the site again.
Ahh, I wish for a simpler time without having to lug around a smartphone, but alas, work requires one. If necessary, you can always purchase from the Convoy store on AliExpress as well
