I bought one WITHOUT the filter. With that SBT-10X emitter it is an awesome UV thrower!
The ZBW2 filter came along with a future order so, now all is right with the world and the PATENT TROLL didn’t get paid!

@Simon Are there any coupon codes for BLF users on Your website?
IMO the price on the website is very reasonable. Cheaper than Aliexpress + tax. I’m happy to pay the price but if he is willing to offer discount then that’s really generous.
@Simon_Mao just noticed the new T7. Naturally the top comment on reddit is about the UI, as that is typically where the most frustration lies (hosts are great!). Somebody mentioned:
Simon said this lights is “mainly for children and elderly”.
I still think you can achieve this goal and vastly improve all your side clicky-UIs without going Anduril-level complexity.
[.1%] 1H → [1%, 10%, 35%] 2C → [100%]
As far as memory goes, since we can 1H into moon and then advance it doesn’t matter so much.
If this was the whole UI, missing blinkies, lock out mode, etc … it would still be a major improvement over the existing side clicky UI, serve kids, grandma, and BLF-ers alike.
Maybe “advanced” hosts like M21H could add battery check, strobe, and lock out mode to this foundation.
Excellent simple suggestion!
This is not the case for many lights. To make this a truly general and safe setup, I suggest to limit the main rotation high to 35%. I would also suggest reducing medium to 5% as the jump from 1 % to 10 % is large, especially given the higher efficiency at low currents. That would result in the following modes:
[.1%] 1H → [1%, 5%, 35%] 2C → [100%]
You are right, that is better. Edited the original post.
I would argue that a ‘grandma’ light should probably have an even simpler UI - single mode.
Both my grandmothers (and I’m sure they’re not the only ones) couldn’t tolerate any flashlight that had more than one mode, it has to be on/off only.
For a S8 sft25r 18350 build, will I need a 10A cdr battery for 8A buck driver or is 5A cdr battery enough?
10A is needed.
@Simon_Mao
Hi Simon, are you interested in making a mechanical tail switch version of M21H?
I think it will be quite popular for people who like the M21H in concept but discouraged by the side switch/UI.
Same applies for the highly anticipated M21K too.
Currently the bigger TIR based models are all using side switch if I’m not mistaken.
Hi Simon,
Is it possible to add the M2 as a host only option? And what size driver and mcpcb does it take?
Thanks so much!
I hope they do not do that on either of those models, I won’t buy them
All the models with the mechanical switch I have tried so far have horrible heat management
My m21e with a e switch is pretty good
Plus m21k is huge most people will not find it comfortable to use a rear tail clicky
Norton antivirus is having a fit today over Convoylight claiming 6 phishing url’s. Anyone else getting this?
To each their own.
L21 series are even bigger and I don’t think people who are buying them are complaining about the tail switch.
A LOT more people are complaining about the e-switch UI.
IMO if heat management is a problem the driver is inappropriate for the host and should be changed for a lower current one.
People used to complain that the S2 ran hot with 3A and simon was stubborn about not putting excessively overpowered drivers in lights.
So many requests for “more power” that 5A is now standard and he’ll let you have an 8A buck driver in an S6 if you want it.
Or that crazy 5A driver in the T2/T3.
Regarding that new 5A driver BTW, is it still limited to 4 modes? 1% at 5A for the low is a bit high.
Avast is flagging the site too, started few days ago, i cant go to convoylight.com if i don’t disable the antivirus.
No viruses on Mac OS
My Emisar D1V2 B35AM runs hotter than any of my Convoy lights, including my S2+ buck with 519A.
YES please!
There are currently no good tail-switch TIR lights with 40mm head on the market. This is much needed.
And the tac tail does not work well with the M21H - only gives 50% max when switched on from tailswitch.
