This is an interesting point–the modern 1mm^2 and 2mm^2-class emitters are much more demanding of optical precision compared to the previous generations of throwers, which are all 4mm^2 and above (e.g., XPL-HI), and some irregularities may have been hidden by the square emitting surface and the diffuse emission of the surrounding transparent silicone.
I wish there were still a reliable source for 7mm diameter 3535 square gaskets that are machined rather than molded.
Looking to try a SFT70 3000K in a Convoy light. Something general use, EDC size. Looks like M21B maybe the smaller host that LED is available in.
Any other smaller hosts for this LED?
The 3x21C lhp531 is kind a flood thrower IMHO, and can’t agree more of how fun is this light.
By the way, I found a 46950 tube from Pioneman that fits on the 3x21C, but unfortunatelly they don’t ship to my country. @Simon could make this available in his website
I heard about that. I don’t know if the factory is just moving, or if Simon is changing factories altogether. If he is changing the factory/company, hopefully it’ll fix all the problems regarding reflectors, drivers, centering, ect…
Spent the night feeding stray cats when one of them climbed into my lap and fell asleep, I decided to stay in the alley longer than I usually would to let him sleep and was apalled at the amount of cars that wouldn’t slow down, eventually a big truck almost ran one over, so I started using my M21H XHP 70.3 R70 to make them slowdown, thinking there’s a motorcycle or something. Simon I hope you’re able to put the new LMP LHP73B in this or the M21K, because the 8500 lumens would be really helpful
