Hi to all!
Can you suggest me better screw and nuts for Reylight clip? S2+ TI

A 5050 LED has slightly more than 7mm diagonal.

this is probably the 3535 TIR. The 5050 TIRs have posts designed for 5050 emitters.

Ok so for the B35AM I don’t need gasket. Now I know and I am sure. I was trying to put optic with gasket. Yes sometimes I do stupid things..

Which of the two did you get? I use the 5050 with B35AM. It’s a pain to center and you need to be careful when tightening, but works well. My S2+ with beaded 20° 5050 TIR and B35AM is my favorite beam shape.

What tint of B35AM do you prefer?

Hmm. I think it’s 3500K.

This doesn’t feel stupid for me. If the desired beam is diffused, or if the optic is designed to produce a diffused beam, focus and centering isn’t very critical, but if the desired beam needs to be as sharp as possible, and the optics doesn’t have mounting posts or the correct footprint molding, or if we can’t use the casing that the generic tir optics usually arrive then we need to have some kind of gasket to aid in centering and focusing. “Improper” optics with improperly sized holes can also be used with such gaskets. When I tried tir optics sitting in the LED PCB it always yielded bad results, and the solution was to use a gasket that happened to be compatible, or to custom make some kind of gasket, like this:

There’s not a standard solution for tir gaskets, so every project needs a custom solution, not always necessary but it is necessary to always get optimal results.

Yes, i measured led and with my caliber and is 3,75mm so a good number for the optic hole. Yes it’s a pain in the ass to center the optic and is impossible. I screw the pill with the head in horizontal position so the optic doesn’t move so much. I don’t know what is the optic because i don’t write degrees but is not spot optic. probably 30 degrees or more. I’ll have to check

Agree :+1:t3:

Describe this project! Aux led are cool

A B35AM is 3.65mm but when putting a square inside a circle you need to measure the diagonal.

Wow

It’s a single LED TS10 I made, Convoy T3 titanium bezel and Sofirn SP40A optics.

The resulting aux pattern was very cool.

The way the TS10SG should have been done.
Nice work!

Woooow, inferno! :fire:

I hope KR1AA will be in TiCu

Very nice!

That’s the coolest little EDC, I’d buy one if Wurkkos had done this for the TS10SG.

What MCPCB did you use? Are those the stock AUX lights?

Definitely not stock:
