Crazy color temp variety amongst 519A @4500k

I know some folks will say the reflector will alter the output, but man....left to right:

Convoy S12 519A 4500k, Emisar D4V2 519A 4500k, and finally the problem child Emisar KR4 at 4500k but looking like 5700k or more.

AR coating is the answer…or maybe just a weird batches?

Are they all domed or dedomed? Or is it a mixed bag with the domes?

So many variables affect CCT and DUV. So far all domed 519As I’ve used have been very neutral compared to other emitters.

Do you have something to measure them? (Opple Light Master for example)

I like the right one.. clear white, but it looks quite a bit 'less neutral' than the other 2

Good question, which has not been answered yet by OP.

My own observation from 4500K 519A’s

Domed is very neutral (like the KR1 on your pic)
Dedomed affects the tint considerably, and lowers 4500K to about 3400K, like on your Convoy and D4v2

I love them both

Hey folks. Unfortunately I don't have anything to measure them with. However they are all domed.

There is absolutely no way the one on the right is 4500K! I'd eyeball a 5700. Someone must have mixed up the emitters.

If you can still find something in the dark with any of them, then the rest is just pomp and circumstance.

They’re flashlights, not objects de art.

All of my “4500K” 519As test around 4200K. Actually 4200K is the highest I can get them to register on the Opple, depending on beam angle it’s lower still

I played with 3500, 4000, and 5000K (Eurekatronics, Acebeam, and kaidomain). To my surprise all LEDs of the same CCT look identical, unlike to e.g. my 219B LEDs.

It's unfortunate, because it's not so simple to return some products. However, for those who don't see the difference, I've got nothing to offer. However, my expectations is that the optics are vastly different on the COnvoy and the D4V2, yet the output is very similar. There must be a mixup in the KR4. I suppose the moral of the story, is that the KR4 is now expected to look like that if you buy the 4500k domed version, so buyer beware, you may want to get it dedomed, or go with a lower (?) temp if you were expecting the same temp as the D4V2 version.
