I’m looking at getting a compact, rechargeable headlamp, and I see both the Sofirn H25S and the Wurkkos H25S are available. On paper, the specs look almost identical (dual SST40 LEDs, 1200 lumens, USB-C charging, 1×18650 battery, IPX4). They also look identical.
Does anyone know if there are any meaningful differences between the two models or are the models basically identical? Are there differences on battery etc?
I’m noob trying to buy my first “decent” headlamp lol.
If you hadn’t mentioned it I’d never have even noticed those two being identical. I’m posting from the phone so haven’t checked every spec, but Sofirn is essentially the Big Factory’s own brand and they produce a lot of lights for other companies. Pretty safe to say Wurkkos is one of them.
Pretty sure they’re more or less the same. The white/red equivalent of this headlamp is referred to both as the H25LR (Wurkkos) and D25LR (Sofirn). They even have the same funky looking headband that looks like something Guy Fieri would rock driving around Flavortown.
It’s a pleasure to have you onboard, cheapbrick!
It’s not as compact (or inexpensive), but my headlight of choice is the Sofirn HS20.
I have the one with the SFT40 emitter for throw.
