Cyansky K3 - tactical long-range flashlight

Cyansky K3 - tactical long-range flashlight with Luminus SFT40 diode.

According to official data, Cyansky K3 gives 1600 lumens and 600 meters of range. According to my personal measurements from 4 meters, when the battery is fully charged and when it is first turned on, it is about 670 meters. Which is very good for a flashlight with a 40mm head.

The Cyansky K3 flashlight comes in a standard cardboard box with writing on it for features, functionality, running time. Inside the box there is a plastic mold that keeps the flashlight from moving freely and a few other things - a hand strap, a nice nylon case branded with a Cyansky label, two spare silicone rings, one spare rubber for the button, a USB to Type C cable, instruction manual and warranty card. The flashlight is clip mounted, which is a big plus for some people. The flashlight is fitted with a Cyansky branded 21700 battery with a capacity of 5000mAh, the battery has a Type C port for charging. On the downside, there is a plastic cutout for safety during transportation (not to accidentally turn it on). What is more interesting is that this battery, in addition to being longer than a standard 21700 without protection, also has a Button top +. I tested a regular 21700 and it works, but a magnet or preferably a jumper should be used because it loses contact when I shake flashlight. In general, the equipment is absolutely at the high level!

The Cyansky K3 flashlight itself has a classic shape with 40mm head, 151mm length and 25.4mm body. Without battery it weighs 133 grams, with the included battery and hand strap it is only 209 grams which is a good weight. The body of the K3 itself has great anodization and craftsmanship (normal for this class), the interesting thing in this case is that the bezel has three zirconium balls embedded with it, which can easily be used to break glass or be used for self-defense (after all, it is tactical), there tempered glass, smooth reflector for long range, the diode is Luminus SFT40-W with 6000+k temperature which is domeless. The tube (body) is well ribbed and does not slip in the hand, a clip is installed on the tube, the threads are trapezoidal and have a grease, but it is not much, if used in rain and wet conditions, I recommend putting more silicone grease. The cap has two protrusions above the button, which I personally like much more than typical tactical flashlights that do not have these “ears”. Thanks to them, the flashlight can stand in a candle position on a flat surface. One protrusion has two holes for attaching the hand strap. The spring on the cap is thick and very well made, there is no spring for the driver, but the batteries it uses is a button top. The K3 is controlled by two switches, one a tactical mechanical forward switch which means it makes a circuit before it clicks and can be used for silent rapid lighting or for signals etc. The modes are controlled by the E-switch on the head which is metal and has a nice click. The flashlight has 4 modes + a hidden strobe that is activated by holding down the e-switch. It has last position memory (but not for strobe). The modes are well distributed, the driver is regulated as expected. The 21700 battery has a Type C charging port and there is a charging indicator on the plus side - it lights up red when charging, green when the battery is charged. The battery itself should be noted to be longer than a standard 21700 and few chargers can fit it. The flashlight is waterproof IPX8, drop protection is up to 2 meters and operating temperature range –30 to 50 degrees. The driver has double time and temperature protection against overheating, and has ATR.

As a summary - great build quality, complete set ready to use, relatively compact dimensions even with two switches, full protection against water, shock resistance and a large operating temperature range. Good driver, good range and light output. The flashlight produces a tight beam with decent side illumination, the SFT40 diode is one of my favorite diodes, with combination of long range and high lumens. Good run time with the 21700 battery as well as good temperature control. It comes complete set with a case, hand strap and clip which is great. As disadvantages, it can be mentioned that tactical flashlight not have quick access to turbo or, more precisely, the quick access of strobe. But if it turns off on turbo, it starts on turbo, but for the strobe, it has to be started from the e-switch only after you have turned on the rear button. K3 is conducted tactically and specially designed for law enforcement, security guards, military, etc. The other thing to note - 21700 with protection with a button top plus. Battery is inqluded in package, but if someone wants to use a charger, there is a high probability that their charger will not be able to fit battery. And the other thing is that standard unprotected 21700 is little short for use. Otherwise, the flashlight has a large range of additional accessories that can be bought separately - a remote trigger and several mounting models for different types of attachment to weapons. Overall, except for the two things I mentioned, there is nothing else I don’t like about the Cyansky K3. I am happy with the model and after a few weeks of testing I am completely positive about the performance and use of the K3!

!!

There is other more professional reviews of model, but this is my personal impressions from Cyansky K3. I hope you like it. And sorry for my bad english
