[Debunked] Is this legit? HaikeLite HK08 (60,000 lumens) with batteries for 40$ from AliExpress

Update: This turned out to be fake. If you find a listing for the HK08 for a too-good-to-be-true price, it is most likely fake.

Here is the link to it: Haik elite hk08 leistungs starke Taschenlampe 60000lm Laterne 1340m Reichweite Typ-C USB-Lade lampe Hochleistungs-LED-Taschenlampen - AliExpress 39

Free fast shipping.

I assume it isn’t real, but would it be possible? How much does one of these actually cost to manufacture?

Your link doesn’t work, at least on my end… !?

163,86€

$199.95 USD

Maybe this link will work for you?

Wow, there’s even a coupon for $6 off.
I don’t know if the listing is real or not, though.

No, unfortunately ! But no worries !

1 Thank

Did you try to buy it?

AliExpress is screwy.
Frequently, other BLF members post AE links, and they don’t work for me.
This link does work for me, though.
If I were interested in this type of flashlight, I think I would order it. :slightly_smiling_face:

When I try to buy, it shows up Paypal and Credit Card only for paying. I’ll not take the risks, because I think I wont be able to get a refund in case of a scam. If AE could process my paying, I would give a shot.

1 Thank

No,
i simply checked the link and it didn’t work, then search for it !

I bought my HK08 for about 3 times the price (also on AliExpress), and I concider that a grate deal. This would be segnificantly cheaper than even a Q8 plus, so I am very sceptical. The item seems to have some orders though, so hopefully some item reviews come soon.

Warning!! FWIW the name of the store is Shop1103590522 Store. So I googled it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Aliexpress/comments/1gywphk/scam/

“The store is only open 8 months, looks like it has a fake or questionable address in Spain, and a random email-address at a free email-provider, and sells items for 20% or less of their worth. Plus of course the fake 100% postive reviews.”

Interesting… Thank you for the source, I will follow the thread and see if the buyer receives their item.

Probably bogus, but using Paypal or even AE, should be able to get a refund. I decided to give it a try.

4 Thanks

It has two positive reviews from 3 days ago. The low price extremely tempting, but the rest suspicious. @Mandrake50 please post follow up.

I will, for sure. No telling how long shipping from Turkey will take. It says 5 to 7 days, but I sincerely doubt that.
First hurdle is to see if I get a shipping confirmation/tracking number.

3 Thanks

Thank you for trying it out. Excited to hear the outcome.

1 Thank

I hope it is not like the $150 E Bike thing… but at least I got a full refund for that one…

1 Thank

You get that light, let us know right away, we all gonna jump in.

1 Thank

not a very good brand so i would skip it even for that money

I’m not sure why people dislike this light. It can outputs real 60k lumens, has regulated driver that can sustains 4k for 1h, has built in charger and power bank feature. The only issue is the 75 degrees it can reach…

Personally, I think this is where one must be especially skeptical and cautious of a “follow the leader” ploy.

“Mandrake” reports a successful transaction to the forum, which triggers “cannga” et al to follow suit. Unfortunately for the followers, their experiences are less so! Tis’ the season for the creative scammer.
