DIY Head torch
Fenix battery packs x2 used as I already have them, limited to around 7.5 amp that’s the reason for two. Two circuits, two switches, two flashlight drivers 5amp and 7amp, three Cree 7070 xhp.3hi 6V. One running off 5amp driver other driver running two crees in parallel. 3.5amps each.

Hardest part I thought mounting the bloody drivers so made little copper mounting pills and bolted to side of case but had to isolate them from the case as I’m running 2 batteries
Two drivers at each end had to use thermal pads under them to isolate from case, and tiny fibre washers and spacers for bolting to case.
Plastic faceplate 30mm holes for optics.
Angled aluminium blocks made for outer LEDs tapped/ threaded to aluminium heatsink

Switches clamped with spacers to case I desoldered the springs later.
Aluminium heatsink off Amazon shaped trimmed down,with aluminium angle mounted all round like a picture frame.
Already planning mark 2, this is my first attempt. Very happy doesn’t get as hot as my fenix hp35r and the ouput is amazing I’m guessing somewhere around 8/9000 lumens. The whole idea is I want to light up the park when walking the dog and found the fenix wasn’t quite doing it for me within minutes it would step down due to heat to 400 lumens on flood very disappointing. Was going to buy high end mountaineering headlight, huge price tag, so decided to make instead thought I’d share as I’m proud of myself.
