Diy Pwoerbank module question

hello guys, do you know of any good diy powerbank modules with quickcharge?
is it possible to use 2 powerbank modules for the same powerbank?
will i be able to charge the powerbank with 2 inputs without the batteries exploding?

If you find some cheap china diy module with isn’t safe, we possibly wouldn’t know.
Better stick to safe ready-to-use products like the Soshine E3S-QC:

If you’re making your own battery pack you could use something like this - https://m.ebay.com/itm/12-24V-to-QC3-0-2-0-DC-DC-Step-Down-Buck-Converter-Charging-Circuit-Module-6-32V/163197438071?hash=item25ff534877%3Ag%3Aw0UAAOSw-95bbxZF&\_nkw=qc2+charge+circuit&\_from=R40&rt=nc

I have one connected to a 3s lipo for qc2 charging my phone

It’s expensive, though. You could buy a 10000mah Xiaomi POwerbank 2 or pro for ~2USD more, so even with free (already owned) 18650 cells, it’s hard to justify. It’s too bad really, it’s the only powerbank with 4x (or 3x) replaceable 18650 cells I have found that both charges and discharges at a decent rate. And using replacable 18650 is nice when you need that extra Wh once or twice a year, and have more 18650 cells lying around.

Answer:

Hello,

For DIY powerbank modules with Quickcharge, I recommend the TP4056 module with an integrated protection circuit. It’s commonly used in DIY projects.

Using two powerbank modules in one powerbank is possible but requires careful planning and correct circuitry to ensure synchronization and safety.

Consider integrating a solar powerbank feature. This allows charging via solar energy, ideal for outdoor activities. Ensure you use a high-quality solar panel and an appropriate charge controller for efficiency and safety.

Charging the powerbank with two inputs simultaneously is not advisable due to the risk of voltage differences and battery overload. It’s better to use a module designed for multiple charging or include proper protection circuits.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your project!

Best regards!
