I was taking glucosamine for about 12 years. I don’t know if it worked or not. I have a fairly physical history with lots of hits to hips, shoulders and knees. Hip pain started setting in long term for about the last 6 months. I’ve also been taking micronised curcumin during this time too (last 6 months).
I did some research again - like others here I now take glucosamine+chrondroitin+msm once a day. I also take a multi vitamin - I just don’t think I get enough things like calcium, vit c and d and k and all those other things.
I’ve also been taking collagen peptides powder. This also has curcumin, black pepper and ginger extracts (these last two help with curcumin uptake). So now I’m getting two lots of curcumin. And, there’s more
SAMe and omega 3. Look up SAMe - it does look good and has other benefits. It’s one of those things that decreases in production as we get older.
With all that, my hip pain has recently disappeared. I can’t point to any one thing. I really don’t won’t to get a hip replacement.
