I’ve offered DIY / handy-man services, typical suff like changing light fixtures, painting, fixing leaky faucets, installing garbarators, patching holes in drywall, fixing chairs, cabinets, etc.
Doing income taxes. Actually I don’t offer that anymore. Not worth it.
In return for: sometimes for money, food (only if they’re a good cook), gift cards, dog walks, tools, massages, tech support,…and sometimes for free, just because they are decent people and it makes you feel good inside to do something nice for someone.
Who/what have you bartered with and what did you get back in return?
I don’t do these things (fix this fix that, install this, spec buy and build pc’s, IT support etc) for any reason than I want to help friends and family who can’t do it themselves. I often am rewarded with gift cards, meals, free babysitting offers etc.
