Do you think 2*AA flashlights with multiple light sources are useful?

The thing is that in general I am.
I like 14650, 18650 and so better than AA batteries for my flashlights.

That said, I accept that AA batteries have their pros like wider availability. And the fact that Eneloops are pretty good.

So, I preffer Lithium but I have a front light which uses AAA, I purchased AA lights for the little ones of the house, etc. They are still ok.

About the format of lights for two AA or 14650 batteries, I don’t like these lights a lot but I think for non-enthusiasts these may be very good. I’m thinking on getting one for my mother as an emergency light.

Add 0.5 lumen moonlight mode, next mode must be 5 lumen, not 50 or 100 lumens. Ability to enter moonlight mode from off. Use SFT 25r 5000k for throw. Please.

For me the 2xAA class is most interesting as a “car flashlight” since they can take hot temperatures better than LiIon.

Might also be interesting as a backpack light, since 2x14500/2x Eneloop has a good enough energy storage, while being way slimmer than 18350/18650.

2 Thanks

If there could be something the size of an eagletac d25a2 mini, but with a clicky switch?

Indeed, for car flashlight, AA or AAs is much safer

1 Thank

is that a 18650 size?

It’s a 2xaa size, very slim, very lightweight

Thanks, but I stocked up a while ago.
