My light flickers briefly whenever I put it tail up almost as if the spring on the bottom is too weak. Also the spring looks very cheap.
I’d kinda like it to have a double gold plated springs like the ones I see in higher end lights

You can order ‘gold plated copper spring for high current’ from Simon’s Convoylight.com and put under the existing spring, or solder a spring bypass with thick gauge 18ga, or simply stuff the spring with stripped wire 18 or 20ga, it should give some extra spring rate to push the battery.
That should work, and also reduce resistance.
