Co-worker pointed me toward this light. Does anyone know this as another make/model? Any thoughts on what it’s like? Mediocre? Throwy? Floody? It seems familliar but I can’t place it.
Thanks,
Garry

Looks like a variation on a design that SolarStorm popularized:

Reminds me of the Niwalker stuff, but its probably just the physical design that’s similar.
Depending on the head construction and heat path, maybe a good host for an XP-L HI Triple Triple!
I know him. His name is Bob. He’s a bit lazy.
Yeah reminiscent of an SP03 or Supfire M6, it also reminds me of a light I’ve seen on Aliexpress a lot with a weird chain hanging of the side. Can’t remember the name of that one though.
The stock Supfire M6 is brighter at 2500 lumens and less than half the price. Of course it’s 4 cells, but I run mine on 1.
Looks good but 3 seperated reflectors are really size-inefficient, I modded an Eagletac M30LC2C also with 3 independent reflectors about the size of a P60, with 3x XP-L HI drawing over 9.5A but doesn’t throw that well, significantly less throw than a modded C8 at 105kcd (which has a much smaller head). So imagine this one rated only 1800 lumens with XM-L2… The merged reflector design is much better for effective throw and spill.
eh, I think that’s subjective. I much prefer the beam pattern of separate reflectors.
Following up on the M6 comment earlier, I agree the M6 is a better option than the light in the OP. It’s cheaper, and known to have great build quality.
Yeah, I didn’t even think to recommend that one instead! This co-worker mentioned he really wanted a “spotlight” type light (i.e. a thrower). I told him generally a multi-emitter is floodier not throwy.
Thanks,

Those reflectors do look pretty small like will34 mentioned, so probably very floody. The only really throwy multi-emitter lights I know of are the SP03 and the Shocker
Roche M170 has the 3 emitters and carry handle. Other than that they’re not too similar.
Nage comes to mind when I saw the light in the first link.
Yes, that was the one with the chain I couldn’t think of
10 to 1 it’s just as mediocre as the others in that line. For the price, it would be cheaper to buy a Solarstorm SP03. The reflectors are larger in the solarstorm and the price runs from $57 USD at gearbest, to $79 USD at fasttech. I am sure there’s more sources as well, but the Solarstorm was pretty good stock, at least the ones I had were pretty good output and not bad for reaching out there.
