SR20 mini is looking nice - in terms of aesthetics. But that FET driver… Nice to see 3 red LEDs added Would like to see warm light version, or at least neutral (Nichia 519A preferably, or at least Samsung LH351) Since I find 18350 flashlights to wide for pants EDC I prefer 18350 over 16340 - simply because they have more juice (even 1600mAh vs 900mAh).
Edit:
Just learned that SR20 mini uses CSP2323 - please make 4000K version! Would get one right away
My idea is to make a new HS05, or just make a simple 90 degree SP10 Pro with a TIR lens. I really miss a dual fuel headlamp from your palette. Thanks for the GAW!
Like almost everyone constantly tells almost every flashlight manufacturer:
MORE quality HIGH CRI emitter options in EVERY light.
Some ideas:
14500/AA headlamps
Male a floody 14500 headlamp using an LED array like the side light of the IF 23/24, with removable diffuser. Rotary switch on the end.
Task the engineers to create a light that can run approximately1500 lumens (high CRI, not the 6500k 65cri vomit) constantly, no thermal stepdown, for over an hour. Obviously it’ll need a big battery (always make batteries removable and non-proprietary) and good heat sinking/ thermal dissipation.
A 21700 light with a magnetic rotary control ring for simple user interface and a big fat 3 degree throwy tir.
Anduril is needed in almost everything else that isn’t 1-mode or rotary control ring.
My idea is that there might be an option to add a UV LED to the SR12, because the UV LED is very useful to help identify nocturnal insects. Also I wish there was a short tube option for 18350 batteries on this flashlight.
I wish there was reverse charging on the SR12, so it could be used as a power bank when needed.
As a HS41 flashlight user, I hope there is a powerbank function on this flashlight as well. In addition, the Nichia High cri LED option is also an option for this flashlight.
Hopefully in under the wire for GAW. SR12 looks like a decent pocket thrower. Would prefer a deep carry one way clip. Its too big to be practical for hat brim mounting. Thanks, Sofirn.
My wishes would be minimal. Lanyard holes on tailcap such as SC13 from the side to allow more stable standing in tail. Reverse charging to allow use as an emergency powerbank.
IMO, powerbank is the last thing I want from a light with such a small capacity battery. I mean the entire 3600mAh drained can’t even charge half of my phone. I’d take a dedicated powerbank if I know my phone juice will run out.
The powerbank function takes a lot of PCB space. I’d rather them spend that resource on making a better LED driver. The series of powerbank + FET driver is such a joke.
Only 1 comment) comfortable holding and switching modes when my hand is in winter gloves.
relevant at the moment. I took out my collection Sofirn flashlights and realized that not all of them are comfortable to operate with gloves in the winter.
Thanks for all comments with actively.
