Drill holes to screw LEDs on aluminium

Hello,
I’m still making a special light for a caving photo experiment
I want to drill 2 1.5 mm holes in 6V XHP70.3 HI LED that I bought on convoylight to screw it on an aluminium thing but I don’t know where.

It’s the one on the left.
On the right it is a 519a with 4 LEDs which already have holes.( I could have stick with those LEDs for m’y project but I wanted to try something else )
Is there a safe place ?

I don’t think there is a safe spot, neither is there the need to drill holes. The 6 notches around the periphery are for mounting purposes; a pair of screws in diametrically opposite notches should do just fine.

The notches(Marked in Green) around the MCPCB is the safest.
If you really wanted to drill holes, the spots I marked in Blue should be safe.
I would definitely recommend checking for continuity before screwing it down though.
Just be sure to stay away from the areas I marked in Red.

Yes may you are right.
I may have a try this way.
