Dear members, I need your advice on how to mod a 2D cell driver to get rid of the onoying blink mode. I don´t know electronics but can manage to solder or desolder components with proper instructions. Any help will be apreciated.
You have to reflash custom software and this is imposible in this case.
Maybe bridge or removing components to allow only high mode? Now is high, low and blink with no memory.
What’s the diameter of the driver? Might be easier to just buy a new driver…?
Driver is 17mn and get a new one is not an option for me. I need to figure how to modify the existing one
Nothing written. The only clue is the six tab chip soldered where the PCB reads 2803. It seems that it refers to some kind of IC.
I believe the 2803 is a step-up DC-DC converter:

I also believe the 3 pin chip I circled in Blue, is a small FET.
If I’m correct, soldering the Red LED wire to the area I marked in Red should bypass any flashing mode produced by the MCU(big 6 pin chip) and give you High mode only:
Thanks a lot. I will try to do this and see what happens.
Dear, it worked exact as you said. Thank you very much!
Awesome!
Glad it worked!
Skills
I’m just learning, but this made me smile, thanks!
No low mode, no strobe , max mode only. 1click for off and 3 clicks for on?
