DST for a penny ... best deal ever

I was searching thru Home Depots flashlight section the other day and found a DST in an open package . The 6 I was waiting for the price to drop again had all disappeared long ago So I was glad to see one ...even if it was an open package . The cashier ,my friend and I were a bit surprised when it price checked at a penny . the cashier checked it 3 times and finally shrugged and said OK it's a penny ..

Pretty cool to hand over one cent for a 2 lb. light

I tossed the packaging and my friend said ..."keep the receipt ..people won't believe you .."

I'll post a pic later if anyone feels the need for proof .

According to Dchomak..Our Local Home Depot expert when they are about to toss stuff in the dumpster the price is a penny .

Best DST deal ever :)

:open_mouth:

Nice!

Makes me want to head on over to HD and go on another treasure hunt.

Where’s that “jealousy” smiley when you need it?

Well done!

Sweet!

Possibly the best part, tax free!

They should have a dumpster destined section on their website, they would get lots of pennies and save on disposal costs.

Gotta be the best deal find ever. dchomak, better watch out.

I’ll buy it from you for $1, how can you pass up 1000% mark up?

you missed a zero, its 10,000%

DST for a penny? Nah. Cant be true.

A picture wont do it. Send the light and receipt over to me and I will look over the evidence for a proper evaluation.

I missed this one by minutes, $44 cans of paint for a penny each

Nice. Maybe I’ll have to stop calling them Home Despot.

Ok, what’s a DST?

Defiant super thrower, a model made (sold, at least) by Home Depot

Defiant Super Thrower.

Oh yeah, I know that. For some reason the abbreviation was throwing me off.

Acronymnesia.

Acronyms turn me nuts when I watch films or series like csi or castle. In Spanish they’re not that common

Back in the 90’s someone asked me “hey, what does PCMCIA stand for?” and I said:

People Can’t Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms

As someone who is going into the IT field and has a horrible time with acronyms… It’s a nightmare.
