So I have this driver. I’m using it to drive an XML2 on a sinkpad. With unprotected cells I get around 5.5A to the Emitter. As I mentioned before in the Hi current xml2 driver thread my driver arrived from DX squashed flat with the solder joints broken and some of the traces torn. It didn’t look bad so I straitened it up an soldered it back together. I worked just fine, so I thought until member RaceR86 reminded me it was five mode. Oh well it has hi and that the most important.
Until tonight. I had the light on and bumped it against a shelf and it went to strobe mode. I tried to click through the modes, nothing happened. So I tapped it again off the shelf, now I’m in SOS. Tried again nothing bashed it hard still nothing. Now my thrower is stuck in SOS, and I have no idea why. Any ideas other than just buying a new driver and waiting 36 weeks for it to get here.
