I know there is some cross over between the flashlights and vapeing so I’ll ask this here. My mother is thinking about switching from cigarettes to vaping, I’m looking for advice on where to go for a starter kit and liquids.
Note, I don’t need advice that this is just as bad or she should quit, she’s been smoking for 50 years and she refuses to give up nicotine.
Howdy, there are tons of ways to go on this and the best way is to first ask her/you a few questions.
Does she mind fiddling around with stuff mechanically or is she going to need something that is all set up and ready to go without batting an eye? How much Money are you guys willing to spend? There are some great cheaper kits but on the higher end they do get a lot better. Does she want something that looks like a cig or is she more worried about getting a bigger hit that has a lot more vapor?
As WarHawk said do Not get one of the overpriced gas station ones. They are not going to be your best bet ever.
I would also like to ask you to come over to The Vaping Forum. I’m a moderator over there and it’s a site set up by a pack of great guys from right here at BLF. It’s growing fast and they really know there stuff and are small enough and super friendly.
In all honesty if I was setting my Mom up with a kit it would be this one. This will do pretty much everything that you can possibly need. TONS of power, great run time, variable voltage. It ships from the US and it’s under $50. This is just the mod itself, you will need some kind of topper but I would need more info before advising on that part.
The other reason I advise you buy this one is that it will provide the vapor that for most people it takes to actually quit the cigs. The lesser units often only give a half decent hit and that just isn’t enough for most people who have smoked that long. With a good topper she can vape huge clouds of vapor all day long with this. The other ones she will be changing batteries all day and when the batteries are low she won’t be getting good hits.
Good luck and feel free to stop over at The Vaping Forum, tons of great people and a lot like this site as far as mods and the people.
1st, don’t give any impression it will taste like her current cigarette !!!
I don’t know any seller in US of these, that sell it with good price. This is my choice for starter kit:
Ego Twist this have variable voltage, some will prefer lower or higher.
Iclear 16 bottom coil or top coil.
Buy some of those atomizer if want to try different juices.
Hardest part is to find e-liquid that acceptable. I suggest start with tobacco taste, I like Liqua tobacco series but FT not sell it anymore then I try some Hangsen’s (local seller here still sell Liqua juice with high price).
Try to find out what she like, as standard base (all 30 ml, 12mg nic. FT have 10 ml version too):
If like sweet, RY4.
Rather strong taste, Golden Virginia
Balance, RY6
I like this one too.
If she is beyond the beginner ego’s (larger than those cigalikes (the blue and gas station cigarette thin deals) go for a GOOD APV (Advanced Personal Vaper) one with a good mAh (2000mAh or larger) rating and a decent wattage…these 100-250 watt rigs are insane!
I vape all my bottom coil Kanger II style rigs at 6.5 watts, and my rebuildable genesis style at 8 watts…most vapers will be comfortable there
Either way good luck with helping your mother put down the cancer sticks once and for all
Here is a shot of some of my “bigger” rigs
my most used rigs are my MVP2 and the Vamo V3…well…my “The Natural” w/ extra battery extension where I can run an 18650 w/ kick)
