Yeh, don't get cheap batteries. Stick with Panasonic, Sanyo, Efest, etc. Stay away from the XXXXXFIRE batteries. Seems we all had to learn the hard way.

Is it just me, or is the battery being put in backwards (you can see the button top pointing towards the tailcap) at ~01:00 in the video?

I had a light of that style. I don’t recall where it went. It had a relatively thin lens, so it had a wide flood and a small spot.

Thanks for heads up. I’m not that familiar with batteries so this is useful. Probably will just get 3 AAA Eneloops since I already have the charger.
By the way. Is there a loss of power when using 3 AAA batteries instead of 1 18650 battery?

There is a Huge difference in light output when you use a good quality 18650 Lithium battery versus 3 AAA batteries.

The 18650 battery gives at least double or more light output (in my experience)....

I have not bought this particular flashlight, but I have several virtually identical Ultrafire zoomies from Tmart & Banggood.

Just got refunded my $3.99 by Tmart because light didn’t come and it was going close to Paypal’s 45 day protection limit. Oh well, at least refund was easy.
But now I have a dozen of 18650s and nowhere to put them :~ Maybe someone could recommend other usable light in this price range?

I ordered two of these lights and also didnt got it in 45 days, so I had to use paypal dispute. I think the price was just to low and Tmart didnt send it out.

If you look at the Tmart site today, you see that they are selling this very same flashlight with a discount, as a promotion item. Maybe it’s not a problem of stock … but they just forgot to send the flashlights to people who pulled the trigger in November :frowning:

It should be “forgot” :wink: Their online support offered refund very quickly although I only wanted to ask about my order’s status. So my guess they didn’t bother to ship them to all customers. But why not cancel those orders?.. Probably still hoped to keep some of the money.

it took almost 3 weeks to arrive. That was just about

the time I expected it to take. Anyway , I got what I

ordered without a problem.

That is an unusual price for a 18650 light, because a good, or maybe even a safe, battery for it costs much more than that.
I had a similar looking light that I liked, but it cost three or four times that much.
