*****Eagle Eye X6 heatsinks ******CLOSED RUN #3 STARTED

The brightest I remember from a single cell is Dales quad XPL in an ultrafire side switch doing 4400 lumens. Can’t remember what bin of xpls though, pulled 15A or so.

I’m still debating whether or not XPL or 219C, my initial thoughts are that I’ll use V6 3D’s for the X6 then use 219C’s for the blue s2+ triple

Besides this copper heatsink, what else do I need to order to make a triple? And is it just replacing the existing parts? Or does it take more? If it doesn't require machining, I'm ordering :)

You also need the optic, Noctigon MCPCB with LED mounted, and driver (preferable FET). The Noctigon will have to filed down a bit to fit in the head.

If that's the case: I'm in for 1 copper :)

Noctgion with XP-L 3D LEDs
Carlo Optic
FET driver

Or u can buy all the parts from RMM ?

#Dale's 6 in the OP here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/32332, the X6 shootout - 4561 max on the best cell. V6 1A's - makes sense - our light meters will show the higest readings on coolest white tints, but of course cooler whites do look brighter - go figure... Smile

*****Hey guys for RUN 3 do u want to use the glass lens or with no glass lens ? I like it WITH to protect the plastic optic ******

I’m for with lens

Maybe, I couldn’t find the optic or the MCPCB with LED already mounted.

I personally prefer no lens so the optic wouldn’t be recessed so far in. With the thick o-ring and lens, it sits quite a bit further in the head.

He reflows the leds u want

Mitko said that the new design height is exactly 10.5mm in the first or 2nd gB so ill be looking into that little more if i go without the glass lens

My vote would be no glass - that's how I built my other triple and it came out great (had to add some extra filler).

Please, a copper one for me too. I vote for no-glass.

Look at this thread guys
