So this EE X6 version NOT compatible with the future shorty’s tubes then? that is bad news where can we get the original then…….or is this new version all there is.

You’re talking about the BLF A6 18350 shorty tubes?

It’s the other way around. The BLF (Manker) A6 18350 shorty tubes are not compatible with EE X6 or EE A6.

Originally the BLF A6 was going to be made by EE. But the GB organizers decided to have it made by Manker instead. At the time, it seems like it was believed that manker used the same factory to manufacture their lights as EE. So the lights were expected to be the same. Unfortunately the Manker A6s turned out to be quite different. Including different threads. So the Manker A6 18350 shorty tubes will have threads that only fit the Manker A6 and nothing else.

No i am talking about the future shorty X6 tubes, referring to jescereal post #217 above here.

There is two shorty tubes being produced one for the Manker BLF A6 & one for the old EE X6 including the EE BLF X6.

Received mine as well! I added a dollar more to receive a warm white XPL, and it is fantastic. Great quality, and the anodizing was flawless without a single scuff or chip. Some differences that I noticed was that the inside battery tube diameter is ever so slightly narrower than the BLF X6, and the threads are much more square cut over the BLF X6’s slightly slanted threads. The reflector on my X6 had no wavy lines that I could see. The tail cap wasn’t interchangeable between this new X6 and the BLF X6, so I’m guessing other parts aren’t as well.
All in all, it was well worth it. Loved that the box had no tape too haha :bigsmile:

If this is correct this new version they are selling now is NOT compatible with the future shorty X6 tubes that are made to fit the old X6 & the BLF X6.
