Inspired by this and this I was surprised to see few posts about simple multi-flashlight carriers, considering the potential throw they allow.
Here was the simplest idea I came up with.

I used four mounts to connect four P60 hosts in a loop so to speak.
SF L2N, extensions
2 x 502B (the red can be found at lightmalls with emitter bundle, but if you contact them you may be able to specify what drop in you want)

Having at least one of them longer than a standard 1x18650 host will help you with holding the bundle of lights. Here I am using a cr123a extension (this is the perfect length for the L2N imho 0:) ).
As shown in the bicycle mount description this is a 360 swivel mount, but the rotation is resistive enough to not be a problem. One of the ends is bolted and the other open, but in a configuration like this there is no worrying about a light slipping out (it would have to slip off two mounts angled 90deg). Being able unloosen one bolt and slide out a host makes maintenance of this carrier a really simple affair.
On the whole the carrier is strong and quite well aligned. The main problem with this quad configuration is that inlined mounts turn out to be parallel to each other, so if you squeeze the ends it will flex. The distance from center to center is around 4.1cm, so you can use that to determine what size hosts will fit. Two C8 sized lights will fit in the opposite-diagonal mounts.
You can’t of course expect alignment to be perfect, due to the swivel design and flexible plastic used for the open end. Someone experienced with beamshots can try it over a longer range and show their results maybe. More mounts would equal more rigidity, but for 1x18650 hosts there is clearly a limit to how many you can attach. This is the biggest limitation of using these kind of mounts as a multi carrier. Also, if one needed single switch operation I imagine you could mod four pressure switches together quite easily.

I put this together using whatever P60 hosts I had on my desk. As it turns out this was the combination

Using the forward/reverse clicky this makes it super easy to compare beam shapes, it’s like a having mouseover in real-life ![]()
No beamshots of a cool white configuration but it is nice to be able to mix in a warm white to cancel some of the flat spill.

I really love the colour-separated shadows these lights can bring out. Very psychedelic

I plan to make a custom carrier to fit >5cm diameter lights, and if people have bright ideas let me know =) I’ll post it and some other simple mods later in the year
