Nitecore MT2A Cree XP – G R5 280lm 6 – Price: $20.59 Coupon: MT2AGB (regular price:$39.95)……….is an old junk for that price and the led is so out of date :stuck_out_tongue:

for that price better to buy lumintop ED25

But But Nitecore branding lol. It does look nice ill give it that. Do you know the output with a standard AA?

1 Thank

lumintop ED25 use 2xAA and it pump out about 600 lumens.

I got a Nitecore TM26GT, never seen that low.

Me too. Waiting a long time for this one; always thought that the profit margin on these are off the roof…

They are. They are sold from wholesaler from factory for 50% of what the RRP is. So a $100 light has $50 profit for the retail store.

I don’t mind paying a little extra for the uniqueness of this light; the odd octagonal shape and display… But 350$~400$ is just ridiculous. To me this is a 220$ MSRP light, street value about 190$ or so…
Anyhow, one really cool thing about this light is that it falls in the category of soda can lights, but unlike all the others, this one pumps out 120k lux  Oh yeah.

I think its less than 50%.

Extacly. agree with you on price. I was planning in becoming a Nitecore dealer so i know more of less how much they are actually sold for to retailers.
I like how its compact yet still has lots of lumens and good throw. The screen is something awesome and unique also the 1000hr runtime is pretty good. And in built charger makes it hardly.

I personally feel that the light is already outdated when it comes to lumens. The competition switched to triple XHP70, with the notorious Olight X7 pumping out 9000 lumens. The TM26(GT) steps down quite quickly to around 1800 lumens IIRC, and that is WITH cooling… But yeah, the beam profile is totally different from the rest; it’s actually a dang good thrower…
One of the nice things about the display is the real time voltage measuring; you can check out how the voltage sags under turbo. Old school protected Sanyo 2600 cells that I have are going to sag way more than unprotected 30Q. You know this is going to happen, but with this light you can actually see it on the display; how cool is that? Yeah I’m stoked alright.

I have the Olight X7, its nice but pure flood. Pretty impressive. You would need huge reflectors to get high intensity beam with a XHP-70. Even the Convoy L6 which has a huge reflector isn’t big enough to get the same throw as the TM26GT. The TM26gt is compact. I did wish it had something like 5000lumens though.

There is a TM28 on the way. 4xXHP35 HI for 6000 lumens on turbo, and steps down to 2300 lumens IIRC. Lux value is over 100k, but less than that of the TM26GT. They say you actually need high drain cells for this one to get the 6000 lumens. I’m totally fine (at the moment) with the TM26GT.

In the dark flood monsters like X7 are contraproductive when it comes to throw
They might light things as bright as a 1/10 power semi thrower but you cant see them because the wall of light close to you

they are so bright your night vision gets totally busted, while on a sharp thrower you can actually see things far away at a lot less lumens illuminating it

Well looks like the TM28 will be same chassis as the TM26GT. So if the TM26GT steps down because it cant handle the heat of 3500lm for too long, then the 6000lm will be even less runtime. Im happy with 3500lm.

Speak of the devil; the TM28 can be admired on the site. http://flashlight.nitecore.com/product/tm28

I added the Rofis KR20 to this list. instead of making a new list.

Grat thing for Rofis discount, maybe they could push it little more,48$ is still expensive, but I have one in the box,and waiting your code.
Main reason I like it is the same UI like Olight M3XuT, actually driver looks the same….

Hey mate i tried but they wont every where else is selling them 65+ USD. Maybe we just have to wait…

Hey folks just added Nitecore TIP Christmas edition. Makes a great gift for all. This package has every thing you nee to use and run the light straight out of the box. Cheap price 22 USD…
