I was wondering, this battery having no top, if I can use it in most lights as it is. Or do I have to put a magnet/blob of soldering on top?
And where is they best/cheapest place to buy for Europe?
Planning to buy it for my Olight I3s and lumintop tool.
Easier and safer to put the blob on the driver instead. A magnet can contact both + and host causing a short and soldering a cell is not as safe as soldering the driver.
So it isn’t useable without soldering something to it?
I’m not a modder so I don’t even have a soldering tool :D.
I’ve never had to solder one but then I make my own lights.
Glad to hear that! Do you own ultrafire 10440’s as well? If so is there a noticeable difference in runtime, output,…?

I cannot notice any light difference in max output between a grey ultrafast protected 10440 and an an efest IMR 10440. To be honest the ultrafire seemed a bit brighter at 2.97V that a 3.13V efest IMR. Voltage measured after battery was pulled off the light.
But in the tank the difference between nimh AAA and lion 10440 is not that big, so could be the light.
At any rate, I’ve been using the Efest IMR10440 for over 2 years and it’s hands down the most power for the package size. I get a little over 3A, around 3.3A, in the light in my Avatar. I think I have 12 of these little Efests, the only way to go in AAA size if you ask me.
are these efest currently the best in the market right now? why havent they come out with the purple edition yet hehe.

Safe bet is Mtnelectronics(member RMM). I purchased my first ones from a seller from Utah on EBay, then a bunch direct from Efest before the moratorium on liion shipping. If I needed more I’d get them from Richard.
I got mine from Mountain Electronics.
I also am very pleased with the output. When I used my brightest 1xAAA size light for 5 minuets straight, the plastic reflector softened and changed shape, even though I held the light tightly and switched it back and forth between my hands, to cool it.

the olight and the lumintop both work with the efest 10440 and don't need a nub on the positive side .
