I would agree with what someone posted above. You can get the S2+ host for under $10. That includes reflector, glass, o-rings, pill, switch, and boot.

I contacted him via his taobao shop,also called. It's not available.

They might be busy with other orders, or they don't have enough spare accessories to sell,only small amount.

It seems only the whole set(body and guts together) is available.

Let's forget it. I think I can gather all the accessories,without too much trouble.Convoy is not the only way.

I'm also sure I can get a better price than your own purchase.

I think most people have the S2 not the S2+…

And since the light is Ti I would make it with a solid clicky with trit slot like seen above.

I don’t have an s2+ so would likely just buy an 18350 host for parts. Group buy? Can also just use 20mm optics since they are easy to get. Would still need a pill tho

If we can put together a parts group for the same or less amount than S2+ then go with that. Otherwise just get the S2+ as a donor and copy all the inside dimensions while changing the outside to a unique design. I like the trit in the tail cap too.

Now you’re talking!! IMO it should have been something like this from the get go.

Given we have the chance to have a fully custom made Ti light it would have been great to get something that is actually different from the rest. It seems as though this light is going to be no more unique than a V10R Ti, M11R Ti, D25C, Niteye Eye10 TiC etc. All 16340/18350 sized Ti lights some even with trits pre-installed, the only difference is this one will have BLF written on it. I will continue to follow this thread to see how the design develops, but from what I have read up until now it doesn’t seem like it is going to be that “special”.

Just my 2c.

The tripod cut would provide both a good thumb access and a satisfying stability. Objections were put forward as to its potential high cost, due to the machining involved in cutting titanium. I think it would be worthwile to at least get a quote for this tripod cut, so we have a precise idea of the price premium it would incur. Also, if aluminium or copper versions of the host were to be made, price would no longer be a barrier for this cut.

+1 I like the look of this cut, and I’m all for making it so that it satisfies both needs/wants properly, instead of having to compromise. If we get this tailcap cut, and awesome knurling, and an unusual battery size (like 18500), made in titanium, plus a nice copper pill/heatsink that fits between the head and battery tube, this could have the potential to be the most beautiful and unique flashlight host yet. If all this happens, I’ll be in for at least four. Edit: Just looked at the other thread. Rey said:

I don’t see how that should make a “big” price difference, since we are only talking about one more grind/polish compared to two cut-outs. Material “waste” should have little or nothing to do with price in this case. With no cutouts, one, two, or three cutouts, the overall length of the tailcap should be the same - long enough to get past the button. Unless they are using a laser to cut out two tailcaps, end-to-end, such that the two cutouts in one nest inside the other, and nothing is wasted. Yeah, sure!

I think these scalloped tail caps are horrible . who in the hell wants three or 4 sharp points on the back end of an EDC flashlight . It's not a light you'd use for work ..or with work gloves on ..??

just make it a solid tailcap like the s2 and people who don't have thumbs to click a clicky can add a forward clicky to it .....and 95% of the rest of us will be happy campers.

i think tails like the jacob a60 are harsh for no good reason

Mmm sounds kinda blah to me, but I’m getting the impression this will end up out of my price range, so I wouldn’t worry too much about my opinion.

I do like simple but I'm not too fond either of full knurling. I think my Maratac copper has a nice combination of knurling and smooth, but I'm sure there are folks who would like a more wild design.
