Emisar D3AA is available now

I would strongly recommend considering spending the extra $5 for the SFT-40 but if your budget absolutely won’t allow it, then W1 or W2 is the way to go for throw. W1 will throw slightly farther and will not use the battery as quickly, but W2 will have a less narrow, more generally useful beam. Personally I love the W1 but I believe many seem to prefer the W2.

is the DK4 tailcap, compatible with the stock DM11, or DM1.12?

Thank you very much for the answer, but what I wanted to say is that I want 5000k more or less, but without exceeding it much.

I see. Then that limits your options but makes it pretty simple. If the W1 or W2 is too cool (my W1 is around 5800), your options are basically just SST-20 5000K or SST-40 5000K. The 519A 5700K dedomed would be nice but would come down to around 4600K I believe so may be to warm for you. Neither the SST-40 or SST-20 5000K is listed on the D1 page for some reason but I’m sure you could ask for either one.

For what it’s worth, I would probably go with the 519A 5700 Dedomed of those options, but I don’t know how close you need it to be to 5000K.

What bin is used for D4K sst20 4000k? What is the cri for 5000k? Is boost driver worth it?

I want a D4K but none of the emitters available appeals to me

Hi Hank,

The sand D1 seems out of stock. Do you plan to re-stock sand, and how long until re-stock? Thank you.

Btw, I love the new green color on the D4K !! It’s the perfect green!

BTW, I want a 21700 KR1.

I will throw money if that happens.

SST-20 4000K FA3 bin, 2700K FD2 bin.
I think the 519A is a good option, especially for the dedomed version.

I’m not sure when the sand color will be back, maybe several months time.

+1

Hello, I think I am going to choose the 519A 5700K, since you tell me that it lowers the K quite a bit when it is dedomed and I understand that the dedomed leds launch more.
And I prefer a led a warm little to very cold.

I have a question about orders from Intl-Outdoor to Europe.
Is the IOSS number provided by the seller?

Just checking. Is the white finish a MAO finish? How durable is this one?

I’ll let you know tomorrow.

Hello, I just ordered a D1 with W2 6000K CSLPM1.TG, I mentioned before that I wanted a 5000K, but I prefer to sacrifice the color for the launch, because Hank told me that I could put a SBT90.2 but it heats up very quickly and the cost It would be more than double.

MAO is micro arc oxide finish - it seems to be decently durable, but gets dirty and attracts smudges pretty easily

I’ve been trying to find a light to mod that makes 120-130 kcd with an xhp50.3 hi 90cri. Anyone interested in a re-issue of something like the d1s? If my extrapolations are correct, the reflector is on the small side to hit that target. If there was something between the dm11 and k1, would you rather it had a reflector or larger tir like the manker u22iii or acebeam L18?

I think it would be cool to have a bigger dm11 that could throw well with the likes of the domed 519a or b35am. Usb charging tube from the k1 would be the cherry on top.

My motivation stems from really liking the beam pattern of the l21a gt-fc40, but finding it too big and heavy. It has almost enough throw for me, while having a big corona/transition to the bright spill, which means it’s still comfortable to use up close.

If you had to buy a D1 mini thrower, what would you choose between W1, W2, SBT 90.2, SF40 leds ?
I see that all of these have the same candela values.

Hello, I have ordered one with W2, because they comment that it is a little warmer than the W1, the SF 40 is too cold for me and according to Hank, the SBT 90.2 heats up very quickly and a lot so it will lower the intensity very quickly .
With so much variety of leds, it is difficult to choose, when I started with led flashlights, there was very little to choose from.
I think that in the premium brands it is still like that, Hank’s store is the one that allows the most customization of flashlights.

Depends what you want to use it for really.

I have just ordered an SBT-90 one, but I’ve been wanting a pocket rocket with this emitter for ages.

I have a KR1 with the W2 emitter in. It is a very nice light. Quite bright all things considered (when you compare to XM-L2 or XP-L outputs). But the beam profile is certainly very specialised. For walking it isn’t ideal as the hotspot is very intense and quite small and will dance about in front of you as you move. But for distance it is awesome. Likewise, indoors or for reading or looking at anything up close it doesn’t really suit. But it is quite a nice adaptable light overall.

I think the W2 is better than the W1. The beam is more usable with a bigger hotspot and 1/3rd more peak lumen output. And the Peak throw isn’t hugely different IMO. I have a W1 in a C8 host, so slightly bigger reflector, but it is a much less usable light than the KR1 with the W2. So all the things above I say the W2 isn’t good for, the W1 will be worse.

The SFT-40, not sure. Specs look good, but images I’ve seen the tint is not to my liking at all. I think I’d still go W2 for the moment.

I sure the SBT90 is going to be awesome as an all round light, lots of lumens and spill, but ability to light up a long distance when needed. If you want to run at max for a long time, then you’ll probably need a bigger torch. the KR1 with the W2 gets hot quick. Also worth noting the W2 sucks 8 amps on turbo. Not such an issue with a 21700, but will drain an 18650 in fairly short order.

I don’t have one, but I suspect as a general purpose light, I wonder if the SST-20 would be a nice setup. Obviously it won’t be insane throw, but I bet it would still be quite throwy with a nice versatile beam otherwise.
