Hello all,

I just ordered the flashlight in the title. I’m wanting to get a couple 21700 batteries for it with the longest runtime that can also handle the draw of all four LEDs at full output, meaning turbo mode. It’s single channel, and I got it configured with the 519a 5700k LED, no boost driver. Any ideas what kind of amperage am I looking at? I’m currently looking at the Molicel M50A which is a 5000mAh battery with a 15A CDR. Will this be enough? I’m not real sure what kind of current LEDs tend to draw.

I know Molicel is a very reputable brand, and Battery Mooch tends to recommend them above most, if not all others. I buy my batteries either from IMRbatteries.com or liionwholesale.com.

The best choices for a FET-driven D4K would be the Molicel P45B or the Samsung 50S. You want a battery that can do over 20A. The P45B is slightly better and has more capacity than the 50S at >10A, but either is fine.

The M50A would be a good choice for a D4K with the boost driver though.

Either molicel 42a or 42b they have the most cdr of any 21700 out there 42b’s are twice the price tho but well worth it if available 45amps for both
