hi all, just ordered a DA1 due to Toykeepers fav light list and luxwads review of the DA1K. i was going to spring on the DA1K at first but since i don’t own any 21700s i didn’t want to buy into a whole new system and charger. i read on reddit that the DA1 is basically the same. is that why i cant find any dedicated reviews on it or is it just too new? the last flashlight i bought was the the original Lumintop FW3A so im really excited and it is my first emisar light. anyone own a DA1 and have opinions and thoughts on it?
Both.
Same optics and virtually same driver. If you use high cdr battery there will be no difference between DA1 and DA1K (apart from runtime of course)

Woohoo the light arrived. in NTG35 5000K. its my first Emisar light. and with Aux LEDS and anduril V2. Coming from the FW3A and BLFQ8.with anduril v1, it will take some getting used to with the faster ramping. i think i prefer the v1 ramp speed. the beam and tint is nicer than the FW3A. its also more of a jacket light to me being much bigger. which is fine since it is winter. my next struggle is to decide if i want my next light to be the D3AA or D1AA. KR1AA looks nice but i prefer side switches for EDC.

Ramp speed can be changed with Anduril 2.

What’s this D1AA mentioned? Are there any pics of it online?
it was mentioned in a couple of the KR1AA threads about it coming eventually and maybe in the sponsor thread (I’ll have to look again). i guess it’s unsubstantiated for now. I assume it will look almost identical to the D3AA just single emitter. i probably have that wrong. i hope it is in the pipeline.
