MtnDon:
The only EMP-like effects I worry about are damages caused by lightning strikes. We have had damage by both direct strike and by voltage surges induced in wiring. The surge suppressors we have that are designed for lightning work well, but they are also damaged by strikes. But they save the electronics in the balance of the system. Most of the time. Except for the direct strike. But I don’t worry about nuclear bomb caused EMP as there’s not much I can do to control the crazies in the world. I’m not sure I’d care to be alive in a nationwide aftermath. Maybe the lucky ones would be those in airplanes that fall out of the sky and literally crash and burn.
Kind of +1
Lightning killed our modem
We have a surge protect on the whole house from the energy supplier it is build in
And I have a lot protected but until modem clgot killed not that
Now phobeline and power are surge protected.
