Several reports have mentioned that Winter Edition TIP does not flash on click in lock out mode. Can we assume it as upgraded V2 then?

I don't know. What I know is that I've read this method in BLF. It's been posted from many respectful members. Glad to read though, if you doubt that method, if you have another one (preferably official from manufacturer) to propose.

As I've said, I've asked GB's CS (as most probably GB's rep @BLF would do) and I'm waiting for a clear answer.
As I haven't said (so far), I've also e-mailed Nitecore (earlier today).
