Yes, this should work, but you do not take into account the auto-off feature.

How to get around the auto off. I think it says something about pull out the buttom just before 15 minutes. Is there another way?
Edit: Find a way to turn it off in the manual.
Turn off auto power off. Press and hold SELECT key, then power on start, you will hear 5 buzzings…… Turn off and restart the machine, auto power off will be recovered.
