Not bad, but certainly NOT 70 amps…
I agree. Originally after I mentioned 45 to 50 CDR I wrote a far cry from 70 amps. Then I deleted that part. I guess I didn’t want to sound negative.
Thanks for all the great info. 18650batterystore.com sent me an email featuring these in their advertisement. Price @ $6.25 seems reasonable. I have far too many cells at the moment, but will keep these on my radar as more data points concerning cell longevity are reported.
Still impressive at over 4000 mAh at 40 amps. But temp at 71C. Probably as far as I would want to push them. But for what I was looking for, the peak for maybe 2 minutes as the Valkyrie steps down would be key. Can they match the Lishen HP sold with the light? Well I guess I won’t know until I get a few.
He also mentions how impressed he is with these cells, even stating that they run cooler than the P50B…
Also he says they kick ass…
You are right.
I did not want to reveal his whole review. That’s why that was not included among other things.
I ordered 4 of them. At ~$7 per It is a good price, even if they are not spectacular.
I went back and forth about ordering these.
For one I don’t know if these are pre-production or production batteries that have all their Kinks out of them.? I sent 18650 am email about this.
In addition I have 3 x 50S and 3 x P45B in storage… never used except for capacity test. 50S in storage for 21 months…P45B for 9 months.
It’s hard to justify it to buy these and let those other ones sit longer.
I get it. I literally have 300++ LiIon cells around here. Including a bunch of 21700s. I even have 4 of those Lishen 21700 HP cells that were sold with the light. Do I NEED these…nope. But I do want to try them out, so…
I understand. The flashaholic mentality. I bought batteries and flashlights that I didn’t need just out of impulse and wanting to see how they performed.
Please let us know what you find out … I have not been successful getting answers from 18650batterystore on simple questions like this, so I stopped ordering from them.
Here’s a screenshot of our short conversation. Especially on his end. I will say I was surprised how quickly he responded. About 3 hours after I messaged him, and on a Saturday.
I got 4 of these yesterday. Checked for capacity at 1 amp discharge on the Mc3000. 3960, 4106, 4120, 4076 mAh.
I will probably run them again at a higher discharge rate. Now to stick one in the Super Valkyrie and see how it does.
I ended up buying two of them. Impulsive flashaholic. I don’t think that I mentioned that I actually got them. But I could be wrong getting older.
The two numbers mooch posted are basically identical to mine. Only 7 mAh median difference.
Looking forward to that. So far no cell I’ve used can beat those ones thst came with the NS59V1 and NS14R.
About 10 minutes after a capacity test I pulled the 40 PL off to charge it at 5 amps like mooches abusive life cycle test.
This was with my new Vapcell SU2 charger.
The voltage was 3.375. Charge rate 5 amps.
It took one hour and 3 minutes.
I did this out of curiosity. Very unlikely I’d ever charge my batteries at 5 amps.
EVE 40P also good choice ,4000mah ,50A maxmium discharge
Their specification is 70A with 80°C temperature cut off ,Pulse rate will higher
Thank you! Any information on when they will be available and where I might buy some? THX
