I ordered these from Gearbest at just under $20.

I wanted a budget but more convenient go pro video camera mostly for dirt biking down narrow trails.

They come with pretty good English instructions. I had it working in probably under 10 minutes with pictures up on my computer but for some reason the video only works sometimes, so I have probably 4 video’s that work out of about 15 that I shot. It seems the computer cannot read them or something. So I will consider them as a camera and pretty decent sunglasses (supposedly polarized lenses) and the video part as unfortunately a fail. So this will be my first defective product from Gearbest or other Seller from China in over 2 years (of placing quite a few orders). I consider them to still be worth what i paid, but if the video actually worked I would consider these to be a great buy as this technology I do not think existed just a few years ago unless of course you were James Bond.

Important Edit: I installed K-lite codec pack mega as suggested by Miller and the video camera now works. So I guess I am back to having 100% successful orders from China Direct sellers.
So I would call this a great Buy from my testing so far. Video and picture quality is not super great, definitely below my cell phone but after just showing this to someone she exclaimed “Hoohlllly for $20 US dollars”.

Wow that deer pic is great!
We only see deer prints in a riverbed and I found a pile of deerpoop in a millstream once.
I hear them Wade through the river at night.
Jealous you actually see them.

Do you have windows?
Get K-lite codec pack mega
During install it asks if you want an adblock thing you can decline it.
After getting this much codecs usually all sorts of videos will play.

Is it hard to take pics/start video? (Where are the buttons?)

Check your SD card, a lot of video cameras only work with certain cards. I have a Mobius Actioncam and it only works with certain SD cards. So, try a different card if you can and report back.

What is the file type that it creates for video? As in .mov or .avi something like that.

Used to be one of the first things I put on a fresh windows and always install when somebody has issues playing video, the other day I did it at an old lady friend who was not able to play DVDs and it did yet used the playing software she used before so only the codecs were used

I think I am going to order one of these glasses, very useful James Bond gadget :smiley:
(I have a pair of sunglasses with mirrored parts at the back of the lenses so one can look backwards, that feels like James Bond too, but this tops it big time!)
