Extended Cord 936 Solder Station

I have one of those Hakko 936 copies from hobbyking that the soldering iron cord just seems to short.
Its a Yihua 936 solder station as seen here. Radio Control Planes, Drones, Cars, FPV, Quadcopters and more - Hobbyking
.
Every time I go to solder something at my work table, I have to shuffle things around to make the cord comfortable enough to solder with (too short). Do they make a extension for the iron cord or a new iron and cord that is longer than this one. Has anyone made there own cord longer with one of these 936’s. It’s really getting annoying. Thanks

The cable on mine doesn’t seem too short, but I have at times wanted a more flexible silicone cable. I haven’t come across any extension cables but you could make one. Unfortunately the 5-pin 240° DIN connectors can be quite costly.

In case anyone was considering replacing the lead, I took my wand apart to show the parts (tip, heating element etc.):

Unfortunately some of the wires are soldered so need another wand to replace the lead on this one.

Parts from top to bottom:

“Gordak” heating element from FastTech (this has a wider plastic part that fits under the spring)
original spare Aoyue 936 element
wand assembly
spare Hakko tip from FastTech
