It might only be 3000 lumens because it's an aspheric. Even the best aspherics lose some efficiency compared to reflective lenses, but we trade that for the versatility.
I received the light, and Is in like new condition. The mods were done very clean, and the performance is excellent. I love this light so much, I think every flashaholic should own one. I have lots of high lumen lights, but none as unique as this.
Something about the 3500 lumens in flood mode is just an impressive site to look at. And the throw is not too shabby either. It would have been perfect if this was a pull zoomie, the twisting takes a bit of a while.
The light also works on 2x18350’s. AW imrs gave the same output and same output sag as the kk 26650! I expected the lumens to drop like crazy after 30 secs, but nope, it handled it jus fine. Maybe after 2 mins, it would have, but I turned it off due to heat. In shottie mode, the light is actually very tiny. Run time would only be like 8 minutes though.
Fyi, purple efest 3500 mah gave about 500 more lumens than the kk!
All in all, I’m happy with the trade.
