Fake or damaged Molicell P50B ?!

Hi all,

I my last order from Wurkkos I purchased a Molicell P50B, mainly to have a spare 21700. It was on sale at the same price that the Wurkkos branded 21700.

But the battery seems clearly used. I put it on my TS23 and the indicator was red, it’s barely able to swtich on.
So I tried to charge it but, as soon as I plug the USB-C cable, the flashlight turns on and there is no way to switch it off…

I don’t have a separate charger, but I’m a bit afraid trying to force recharging the battery in this way because of this strange behaviour.

What do you think?
Would you suggest to contact Wurkkos for a refound?

Thanks

It’s hard to tell but my P45Bs didn’t look like that. There seem to be oxidation and scratch marks on the positive pole which indicate this cell has been used before.
It should also be at around 3.5 - 3.8 V.

If you can send it back/get it replaced.

Thanks!
I never bought a spare cell, so I was unsure if those marks are normal or not…

Certainly looks like a used battery. How does the negative side look?

A new battery should not have any scratches on the terminals, let alone marks on the wrap.
