FANDYFIRE HD2010 for $27.80 shipped at LightsCastle

It was Boaz who first alerted us to this, but I think this is also worthy of being posted in this section.

Anyone ever seen a HD2010 for less? I haven’t. LightsCastle asked BLF what lights we’d like to see good deals on, and the HD2010 was one of the suggestions. This appears to be their answer

I have never ordered from LightsCastle, but it appears that if you register on their website and your cart amount is larger than $50.00, you can get $5.00 off with the coupon code "5dollar".

Probably should mention though that this listing states a surprisingly conservative lumen value, and also that this particular HD2010 is regulated at 2.3A, which if actually true would mean that it will be a less impressive thrower than other HD2010’s. But it’s also possible that these are just made up values from the supplier and that’s it’s direct drive on high like all the rest. That sort of thing is quite common. Just a thought.

LightsCastle’s photos are nearly identical to DealExtreme’s photos here:

http://dx.com/p/fandyfire-hd2010-cree-xm-l-t6-600lm-5-mode-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-107154

All that's missing is DealExtreme's watermarks. :quest:

That’s a good point. Perhaps someone who already owns a FandyFire HD2010 from DX could chime in about current draw on high. They are almost certainly the same I guess.

It’s occurred to me more than once (although not necessarily seriously entertained) that LightTake might have some sort of relationship with DX. But maybe it’s just the similar (if not identical) listings. I have absolutely nothing to support such wild speculation beyond that.

I think it's Andi that has chimed in previously on the FandyFire's being exactly the same.

Okay, I placed an order. I used the "5dollar" code to save $5. This is what I bought:

Here's a thread (I started) about the Prairie Fire D15: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/12155

If LightsCastle delivers what I ordered, then I got an excellent deal.

Well done!

I'm probably not thinking clearly but I can't see why Output #1 is 3 volts. Can you enlighten me?

Output 1 3V for LiZn cells

Output 2 4.2V for LIion

LiZn? Do you mean LiFePo4? AFAIK there aren't any Lithium Zinc cells

Actually… yes

I guess we’ll have to settle for it being the cheapest currently on offer then!

lol

Because we are authorized by the brand owner of Ultrafire ,Trustfire and Fandyfire ,all our products are purchased directly from the factory ,so we may give more discount than some other sellers.

Yes, your right Scaru, my mistake. NiZn or LiFePo4, I forget which, are 3 volt.

I gather the charger has switchable voltage to cover both types of cells, which is what I was trying to say

Lifepo4 is the 3 volt one and NiZn is around 1.7.

Looks like a good deal and worth the risk…

Order placed yesterday. Let’s see how long it takes…

Has anybody got there light yet? If so how is it?
