Fasttech - interesting new products - Flashlights, chargers, batteries and DIY and knives - please no discussions.

I like the idea of a variable touch keyring light but Nitecore’s offering looks horrid lump of translucent plastic. :Sp Still nice to see different ideas explored.

Thin plastic is ideal for keyrings…the AAA lights get chewed up and the anodizing gets abraded fairly quickly, at least mine do.

But bare steel lights work great on keyrings. A DQG Tiny AAA or Preon P0 should hold up for a long long time in that role.

From what I’ve seen, stainless steel tends to hold up to abuse better than titanium. It weighs more, but the surface resists dents and scratches better and it’s nice on twisties because steel threads slide more smoothly than titanium.

Or you could just ignore the scratches in the anodizing. Once the corners and edges are worn off, the appearance mostly stops changing.

and they claim to have “copper” — http://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10010809/1973502

Anyone know if this is the Chinese translation for brass, or the metal copper?
It actually looks like copper in the pictures — several varieties on the pulldown menu

Flip it over and the male thread could become a pillar for a zoomie?

An update of the last 2 weeks - most knives and a few Nitecore flashlights.

NiteCore HC90 1*Cree XM-L2, $110,96 (5% less with coupon code BLF). My link - non aff-link

NiteCore P36 1*Cree MT-G2 2000LM $127,00 (5% less with BLF). My link - non aff-link

Sanrenmu 4112, 52mm blade with a clip, without a lock (slipjoint). This is a available in 6 colors (gold, silver, green, black, blue, orange). Pricerange $6,15-6,27. My link - non aff-link

Sanrenmu 7095 Folding Knife 66mm blade / no lock / a few colors like camouflage, blue white, red white, sand white. Handle is G10, blade steel 12C27. One important thing: Some of the 7095 have tools (screwdriver, glass breaker and seat belt cutter), others not. If you notice the glas breaker at the end of the knife, it is the tool-version, which have a T4 in the name. The version without the tools cost $0,28 more - this is weird. The knife design is of Windrunner. Price: $11,90. My link - non aff-link

These used looked versions are nice: Sanrenmu 7089, 67mm blade, frame lock, clip. Price $11,24. My link - non aff-link

GANZO G719-G Stainless Steel Folding Knife 85mm 440C blade / snap lock / green or black. Price $18,85. My link - non aff-link

A really small knife, the uality wouldn't be great, because it cost only $2,47 GANZO G623S, 45mm blade, back lock, available in many colors like blue, red, orange, pink, green, black. My link - non aff-link

Just note on the Ganzo G623S-BK the black one, a photo on the description page shows a crack from the lock bar pin from the pin to the back of the knife, I know it’s just a cheap knife but at the very least cracks on a new knife is not a good sign that the knife will last or even be safe to use. I notified them but the same picture is still on display.

the P36 is still a third more expensive than it is available

Many interesting LEDs today at fasttech, one of them is Luminus SST-50 for 11 bucks but they listed it as “2.7W 200LM 3000-3200K Warm White LED Emitter” with “max 700mA” which is strange, not sure what is going on here.
P.S. It looks to be on copper mcpcb to.

I wrote Fasttech the same sirius (FT offer the same LED with a driver with complete other datas, which are correct) and hope, that they will change the description, but often nothing happened.

There are two other items of yesterday, which seems interesting:
CREE XB-D 200LM 4000-4500K LED Emitter (5-Pack) 16*1.0mm aluminum base / 3.3~3.6V / max. 700mA (max.200 lumens). Maybe nice for smaller flashlights with a nice NW color. $4,43 for the lot with 5 LEDs. My link - non aff-link

UltraFire 1*Cree XP-L V5 3-Mode (high, low, strobe) 1200LM 6000-6500K Drop-in Module 3.6-4.2V / 3000mA / 26mm diameter reflector for $7,35 (with BLF 5% less). My link - non aff-link

Red Convoy 2+ in many combinations. with 3, 4, 6 or 8 AMC7135 and this LEDs T6-4C, T6-3B, U2-1A, T5-5B, T4-7A. Convoy S2+ 1*Cree XM-L2 T6-3B 490LM 2-Group 3/5-Mode EDC LED Flashlight, AMC7135*8, lanyard, OP reflector and in a white gift box. Price range: $16,24 - $18,44. My link - non aff-link

I wonder about at least one of the finned heatsinks — I bought one out of curiosity, one described as “copper” with fins:
510 Heat Dissipation Heat Sink for Atomizers 22mm, Copper / SKU: 2022301

It arrived in a sealed plastic bag and it’s still in the bag, because
— I can see a ding one of the outside edges and it looks like it’s some kind of dark gray metal under a thin copper coat.
— and maybe I’m just suspicious but it feels a bit too heavy, and it’s extremely smooth — which isn’t at all easy to accomplish with pure copper but easy with copper plating.

Dunno. Trying to remember my long-ago elementary physics and how to calculate the density of the thing by displacement.

But I do wish I had a battery tube and a flashlight head both threaded to fit into the center opening of this thing, so I could run the wires through.
I’m getting the “hotter and brighter” itch, finally, counterbalanced by the “don’t thermal-cycle the batteries” caution.

Sticking a heatsink/radiator in there would seem ideal.

Some more Sanrenmu knives:

Sanrenmu 9054SUC-GV Stainless Steel Folding Knife, 83mm blade, color camel (the green and black version were listed a few months ago and I have both). It hasn't a lock and you can use the clip in many postions (tip up/down on the left and right side).
The picture shows a hole in the blade (near the handle). The picture of the green shows this, too. My green came without the hole and I don't know, what the clue of the hole should be. I think, it will not come with this hole. Price $13,36. My link - non aff-link

Sanrenmu 7056LUI-GLO-T4 with tools (the T4 ending shows this). 70mm blade / w/ bottle opener & seat belt cutter & glass breaker, liner lock.Price $13,13. My link - non aff-link

GANZO G720 Stainless Steel Folding Knife 90mm blade, axis lock, available in black, green and orange. The price is good, if you want to use Paypal. If you have a credit card, you can buy it in the Aliexpress shop of exduct (cost less as in the homepage of exduct).
FT price with the black box $23,23. My link - non aff-link

If you change a driver sometimes it's necessary to change the cabe, too (some drivers come with thin cables). This cables use soft silicon and are not so stiff like usually cables. The price of INTL-outddor for AWG18 and 22 is better, if you need 6m (IO price AWG22: 2 x3m cost $3,89 - FT price 2x 1m $1,69). If you modd a lot of flashlights 6m are ok, but if you modd only a few 2m are more useful (enough for 25 divers.). Also available are thicker cables: AWG 12, 14, 20 and 22). AWG 12 and 14 can handle a lot of Ampere . AWG14 round about 30A.

AWG20 soft silicone, 1m (2-Piece Set) - can handle ~13A, $1,99 my link - non aff-link

Sanrenmu 4073RUC-LJ1 Stainless Steel Folding Knife 49mm blade / with a clip / without a lock. Available in many colors like black, grey, lightblue, lightgreen, orange. The green is availabel with two different handle structures. $7,35 My link - non aff-link.

LEDs in different colors:
Cree XP-E 460-470nm Blue LED Emitter on 12mm Base 3.7W / 3.5-3.7V / 700-1000mA / beam angle: 100 degree. $1,90 my link - non aff-link

Cree XP-E 620-630nm Red LED Emitter on 12mm Base 2.5W / 2-2.5V / 700-1000mA / beam angle: 100 degree $1,88 my link - non aff-link

OSRAM 1.7W 850nm IR Infrared LED Emitter on 16*1mm Board 2-2.4V / 700mA / beam angle: 140 degree $2,34 my link - non aff-link
I don't know, which driver can be used, because it shows only a voltage range of 2-2,4V.

OSRAM 3W 220-Lumen 8000-10000K Blue White LED Emitter on 12*1mm Board 3.5-3.8V / 700mA / beam angle: 80 degree $1,13 my link - non aff-link

Now a great knife enters FT: The big version of the Sanrenmu 763, but without an Axislock and for a much better price as the RealSteel version - which costs the doubled price. If you want to know something more about the RS version - here is a link to my review (it's in German).
The SRM763 is really popular and users love it and show this here.

Authentic Sanrenmu 9063 Stainless Steel Folding Knife 88mm blade, with a clip and a liner lock. 8Cr14MoV blade, available with a black G10 handle. $15,58 My link - non aff-link

Authentic Sanrenmu 9051MUC-GOH Stainless Steel Folding Knife 80mm blade, clip, without a lock (slipjoint) in white/black. I like this color combination more as the green/black 9051.
This color is also avialable with the SRM9054, which I own.
