Favorite exterior light color (How do you feel about black?)

Mostly black. I use my lights a lot for photography and my photography gear is black.

My bikes are black and so are my bike lights.

I see them as tools, not fashion accessories, except I have a couple of nice EDC knives for social occasions and matching small lights in copper and SS.

I got a message from Simon that there will be no purple because there is too little demand for this color. He has only produced orange and green.

Black is fine.
I like other colours, mainly darker matte metals and military colours. Anything bright just reminds me of cheap plastic lights from the 1980s.
Fashion isn’t the biggest factor, but looking good does help.

Not sure why I am remembering this now… but for as long as I can remember, I always liked the type III finish and color of the Fenix T1.
Its like an olive gray.

I like anodized colors of all sorts (blue, green, tan/desert, & red especially). or if there is a unique one, as long as they aren’t too bright, unless they are really nice. Its weird, there are so many contradictions when i try to describe the colors of ano i like on lights. Some blues are great to me, some not so much. I don’t like the convoy s2 colors really at all, but i like all of astrolux’s colors. but convoy gray is my favorite gray, well besides fw3a gray (blue) lol.

but, without a doubt, i am most drawn to natural metals - copper, brass (more so lately then copper, which i used to despise brass), bare aluminum, titanium. These are my favorites definitely, i always go for them when they’re available or i can afford them lol. they age the best too (no worn ano look )

Got bored and decided to toss my UltraFire LZZ-F15 in the oven. :bigsmile: After stumbling on some pics of baked flashlights, I decided I wanted to give it a go on one of my ‘lesser liked’ torches. I decided to use my LZZ-F15. It really is a decent light, but its kinda too big for an EDC, so it mainly sits on the shelf. I have actually never used this light, apart from the day I got it. Baked / Heat Colored Convoy Pictures

Please post what you did to color it. I did a blue in my electric oven on broil, it just became a more metallic lighter blue. Any colour is fine, but I tend to go for black most of the time. Got me a light grey S2, an S2 and an S2+ in darker gunmetal-ish grey, and I have a C8+ in tan on order, and the rest of my collection is all solid black. I’m not overly picky.

Now that’s purdy :heart_eyes: They look almost like they’re made of bronze. Too bad it doesn’t seem to go well with the stainless steel of the M2’s bezel.
