There have been limited quantities as warm as 5400k that have been available, in non-commercial quantities, but if Sofirn actually has them in 5000k that would be news. Seems more likely it is a typo as their lights using that emitter only come in CW.
I think those turned out to be the 5400k. There was initially some conflicting info in the listing.
There’s a chance, though probably not a large one, that Cree has some smaller batch of 5000k Lumintop could negotiate to buy, but it’s not a standard offering they can just purchase and provide as an option for the FW21 pro.
-edit I just saw Freeme is claiming there will be a 5000k option for these emitters in the Astrolux EC03, so maybe there are some of those available for Lumintop to try to get too.
I have a few 5000K 3V XHP50.2 from Sofirn. They look pretty close to 5000K and similar to a dedomed 3V XHP50.2 2A from Kaidomain.
Sofirn claims them to be 3A or 3B which is slightly above 5000K and looks like the cold end of neutral white. Sofirn produces the EC01 so it is likely they will produce the EC03 as well.
It would be great if Lumintop was able to source some 5000K emitters. By the way, what color bin of the 6500K are they using?
Also it will be interesting to view SST40 5K version of FW21Pro. I think the FW21 have very small body to handle heat from 3xXHP50.2. Or in practice in turbo will have only maybe max power for 5-10s.
I don’t need another flashlight… but that FW21 Pro is gorgeous. I would break my budget & buy one if it would be released in 5000k. 6500k is too cold for me.
Thats enough. Who normally needs 10 000 lumens?.. So if it drops to 8000,than 5000 or so… Still a lot of light for use… And still edc. Revolutionary model really…
Those are the higher voltage version of the emitter, which requires a boost driver. Very nice, but would require a completely different driver in these lights.
I didn’t realise there were 2 versions of that emitter. Thanks. The Zebralight is my most often used flashlight but I would of loved a 21 pro too if it was available in a more neutral, slightly warmer tint.
