I am doing home lighting and using some of what I learned here modding to make indoor lighting.
Custom Driver+ Open Souce Firmware = ESP32/ESP8266+WLED/tasmoto/esphome
Host = aluminum channel
Battery = power supply
LED star = strip density (30/60/144 per meter) + voltages (5, 12, 24)
LEDs = RGB WS2812B, RGB+CW/NW/WW = SK6812, I am not as familiar with the other kinds but they have 5050, and a larger and smaller one.
You don’t need the channels, and you can use various items as power supplies.
