I have a Titanium Innovations N30 HID which I got 2nd hand over a year ago and is supposedly 250 kcd and about 3300 lumens OTF. That will light someone up around 700 metres away to my eye. I can’t imagine what 500 kcd and 6000 lumens would look like.
The only problem for me is that while $230 is a very good deal, it is still a lot of money. I’m looking forward to the recently announced H502w, SC52w and DQG 18650 NW in XM-L2 as well…

I already have one of those on the way in ‘Mocha/Bronze’ and have recently taken my count of homemade P60 based Solarforces to 12 with the addition of a few gen2 CREEs. So I’m really trying to hold back a little at least, there just seem to be so many appealing new lights coming out right now.
I’ve sent Bill a number of emails regarding shipping to Canada (PMs through this forum and on his website). He hasn’t replied to any of them.
Although his site shows shipping to Canada $33) I’m unable to complete an order. I can add it to my cart, but can’t checkout. Get the message “Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.”?
He has not replied to my emails too. Maybe he has gone fishing again (which takes days and no internet), or has taken the last leg on taking his driver’s license, as happened before! Rest assured when he gets back we will have all the information to address our concerns.
Doingoutdoor.com now has the Panasonic NCR18650PD, a high-drain, 10amp 2900mAh cell ideal for HIDs, priced even a little bit lower than the ones I got from FT. Oh well…
