I realized I sold any XHP35 Hi lights that I had (especially L16 V1) and wished I still had that emitter in my collection. I saw Illumn has the DM35 with said emitter listed at a “closeout” price of $39. I took the plunge and, even though this light is pretty old, I am glad I bought it.

Only gripe is you cannot go from Turbo back to a regular mode. You either get “Off” or “strobe”. It says it has a built in battery, but it does not. The included, removable 21700 has micro-usb charge socket, but any 21700 works fine.

Tail magnet is good not great but good. Beam is nice with bright center but decent spill. Seems well made. Thread grease was a bit crusty from sitting in the box for years but I freshened that up.

Dang, wish I’d have listed my Catapult V6 for sale earlier. (XHP35Hi 5000k) TBF though, the light you ended up with uses the 21700 cell so maybe the V6 wouldn’t have been appealing anyway.

I gave your L16 V1 to my daughter. So I don’t have it anymore either!

Yeah I had one of those too that was 26650 right? I let that size go.

Yep! I haven’t eliminated the size myself. I still have two Convoy L6, but I don’t find myself using the Catapult V6 enough to justify the shelf space used.
