First mishap with a flashlight

I’ve been collecting flashlights for some 5 years now and this is the first time I experienced something like this. I was using this last night when I noticed the output is dimmer than usual. I opened it to replace the battery and this is what I got. :frowning:



Update: Sofirn determined the battery leaked. They’re going to send me a replacement. I’m glad they have great customer service. :slight_smile:

Do lithium batteries leak?

Was it a hot joint or high resistance connection?

Yes. I’ve had a few cells leak.

I believe those sofirn 14500 cells are unprotected
