Nice video, thanks man !
I have all three as well as the Sofirn SC31T, and Sofirn SC31T Pro. My favorite is the SC31T, because with the tail clicky its quick to engage but never inadvertently turns on. However, I often want to clip a smaller light to my pocket, and for that the SC32 works best with the small size and tail switch to prevent accidental engagement. I agree that the SC18 puts out a better beam than the SC32, but the SC18 will accidentally engage in my pocket unless locked out.
Yeah the switch is the worst in that regard. Otherwise it is a great small 18650 pocket light. I just recently bought a pack of # 10 SS finish washers at HD. Glued one on. No more pocket activations.
I don’t have any experience with the SC32, but the SC18/WK03 is a very good value for the price.
For my taste, and a pocket-friendly EDC, I’d prefer if it didn’t lean as much toward throw, and had a larger hot spot.
The SC32’s tint lottery, and mixed experiences with the e-switch have made me hesitant to try it.
That leaves the SC31P, which is well-rounded, and good value, which explains it popularity.
The only thing that it’s missing is a regulated driver, which would give it grail status in my book.
I have an early version of the SC31 Pro. It’s pretty boring compared to most Anduril lights, but it’s not bad. It has a very practical general-purpose beam, it covers the basics well, and it comes with everything a new user needs. Definitely a good budget option.
My first “Anduril” light. Perfect intro light for learning the basics. I have two, one stock and the second one converted to the 18350 stubby configuration.
Honestly, I prefer the simplicity and no-nonsense Anduril v.1 for a general use EDC light. I’m still amazed by your ingenious creation.
One of those two SC31PRO is always in my pocket off hours. Hella lot o’ light in a manageable size with some convenient UI options to maximize utility. Great lights.
