2 Thanks

thanks for your selection of Flashlight of the Year, the Skilhunt M150 v4

do you have Flicker Index data for that light?

I used my Opple 3 to look at the Flicker Index of my Skilhunt H300R.. it has very low Flicker index on all but the 2 lowest modes:

I don’t have that kind of data. I use a camera’s electronic shutter to check for flicker, which appears as scanlines at a high enough shutter speed. The M150 has a very slight ripple in L2, but nothing like what you’re seeing in the H300R.

I like that Skilhunt drivers dont rely on PWM. zeroair posted this test of the M150:

and they have nice regulated output:

Do you need to carry the M150 locked out, to prevent the button from getting pressed accidentally in pocket?

I do not carry it locked out. I have pressed the button by accident once or twice, but that was while reaching into the pocket, and I noticed immediately. I don’t think it’s a big problem for most people.

thank you
glad to know lockout does not seem to be required

when I pocket a light it gets to be by itself, not with keys or other things, so it should work for me unlocked

I noted in your review that the new metal button does sticks up above the ring.. those seems like good changes
